Café Molotov

Be the first to review

Molotov is an anarchist café, close to the center of the city. The space has been a social meetingspace for over a 100 years now, and was in 2008 rebranded under the name Café Molotov by 3 activists/squatters. Recently the bar has been taken over by the new generation of activists, now still (privately) owned by Tillo a young activist who took a key-role in recent prominent political squats around the city.

We want to become a cooperation though but there still is some legal work to do. We hope to change before the end of the year.

The main goals that the bar has right now will be as it was in the past cultural events (music, poetry, …) and of course being a social hub for activist and alternative people.

But we want to expand more into educational stuff (documentaries, open discussion, speaker events) and we want to do a lot about responsible partying and safer spaces (we are already working togheter with a couple of social work organisations) and as a final point we would like to fund our own social work projects.

Come  by a feel free to take a look and ask about more details of our goals and dreams.

Events will be announced on instagram and facebook
