Shinnecock Hills Indigenous Welcome Sign

Be the first to review

To be barren bones, it is a sign, a welcome sign that has been long and fought for as a small effort to recognize the Shinnecock Nation of Long Island in Shinnecock Hills.

As the world knows, the Hamptons of being this ultra luxurious, rich neighborhood, where most of America’s celebrities hold a second home, like Donald Trump and P. Diddy. It is also built upon the existing presence and existing lands of the Shinnecock nation, and this sign was given a bunch of hoopla. Before you enter the Hamptons on this major highway, you are reminded, passively reminded, as no one really cares about it anymore, that you are on indigenous territory as well.
