The NYC Anarchist Book Fair turns twenty this year. It runs September 24 through 27, 2026. The collective behind it just opened the call for applications, and the deadline is August 15. 
Here is what the collective is looking for.
Volunteers
The fair needs people across the whole weekend. Art, outreach, logistics, security, translation, and mediators for the conversation rooms. If you speak more than one language, they want to know which ones. If you have no idea where you fit, say that too. The collective will work with you to find a spot. You can give the full weekend or a few hours.
Tables
Saturday, September 26, at La Plaza Community Garden. Booksellers, zine distros, publishers, community collectives, authors, artists, creators. Bring what you make or what you carry. Sell it or give it away.
Workshops
Also Saturday the 26th, at La Plaza. This is the heart of the fair. Poetry. Food and medicinal plants. Self-defense and hacking. Queer and trans revolt. Anti-psychiatry. Black rage. Skill-shares of every kind. The collective names fascism and state repression plainly and builds a day of teaching in the face of both. If you have something to share, propose it.
International Workshops
Sunday, September 27, at P.I.T., and online. A Radical Guide is co-hosting this one. Presenters from outside the United States, in any language. The form includes a field for the language you will teach. We ran it online last year too, and the full recordings are here. Keeping it online means people join from wherever they are, in whatever time zone. Anarchism does not stop at a border, and neither does this fair.
