Opened in July 2017, Partisan is a space for independent, community led, DIY and cultural based projects in Manchester.

As a collective and co-operative, Partisan is democratically owned and managed by the people who work in and use the space. You can become part of our collective by becoming a member.

We are located over two floors in a Grade II listed building on Cheetham Hill Road. Our basement is a flexible venue space and bar, and upstairs is a large social space surrounded by offices and meeting rooms. Both can be used by community and independent cultural groups for meetings, exhibitions, film screenings, book launches, parties and gigs. Revenue generated by membership, office and room rental, music events and the café-bar subsidise the free and affordable use of the space for those that need it.
