Interessenwahrung als „Kerngeschäft“

Als Gewerkschaft ist es das primäre Ziel der FAU Hannover, die Arbeits- und Wirtschaftsbedingungen, aber auch die kulturellen und sozialen Interessen seiner Mitglieder zu wahren und zu fördern. Die FAU Hannover bedient sich dabei verschiedener gewerkschaftlicher Mittel, um Forderungen durchzusetzen und Erreichtes abzusichern. Zu diesem Zwecke arbeitet es auch daran, die Bildung und die Kompetenzen seiner Mitglieder zu vertiefen und zu erweitern.

Solidarität organisieren

Gesellschaftliche Interessenlagen sind komplex. Deshalb bemüht sich die FAU Hannover, über die eigene Mitgliedschaft hinaus, das Bewusstsein von Lohnabhängigen über die gemeinsame Lage und Interessen ebenso zu fördern wie den Geist der Solidarität und des Zusammenhalts. Ein weiteres Ziel der FAU Hannover ist somit, die solidarische Zusammenarbeit von Lohnabhängigen über Organisations-, Branchen- und Ländergrenzen hinweg auszubauen.

Vom Tageskampf zur Veränderung

Wir verstehen uns nicht nur als Interessen-, sondern auch als Transformationsorganisation. Durch die Zusammenführung und Ausweitung von Kämpfen wollen wir Fahrt aufnehmen, um gesamtgesellschaftliche Veränderungen herbeizuführen. Zum Ziel haben wir eine Wirtschafts- und Gesellschaftsordnung, die auf kollektiver Selbstverwaltung basiert. Aufgabe der FAU Hannover ist es daher auch, die Grundlagen dafür in der Wirtschaftsregion Hannover zu schaffen.

Protection of interests as a “core business”

As a union, the primary aim of the FAU Hannover is to uphold and promote the working and economic conditions as well as the cultural and social interests of its members. The FAU Hannover makes use of various union resources to enforce claims and safeguard achievements. To this end, it is also working to deepen and broaden the education and skills of its members.

Organize solidarity

Social interests are complex. Therefore, the FAU Hannover endeavors, beyond its own membership, to promote the awareness of wage earners about the common situation and interests as well as the spirit of solidarity and cohesion. Another goal of the FAU Hannover is thus to expand the solidary cooperation of wage earners across organizational, industry and national boundaries.

From day fighting to change

We see ourselves not only as an organization of interests, but also as a transformation organization. By bringing together and expanding struggles, we want to gain momentum to bring about societal changes. Our goal is an economic and social order based on collective self-government. It is therefore the task of the FAU Hannover to lay the foundations for this in the Hannover economic region.
