Alternative International Movement – Section Caserio

C’est au nom de Sante Geronimo Caserio, jeune anarchiste italien guillotiné à Lyon pour l’assassinat au poignard du président de la République Sadi Carnot que répondra la section lyonnaise de l’AIM.

L’Alternative International Movement est un réseau international ayant pour but de promouvoir à travers des évènements culturels et la diffusion de matériels et d’informations les valeurs de l’antifascisme et de contribuer à l’élaboration d’une réelle contre-culture face aux médias de diffusion culturels mainstream, atomisés et tenus par les classes dirigeantes. L’idée originel était de retrouver ce que le RASH (les skinheads communistes et anarchistes) pouvait développer dans ses grandes heures, en tant que formation militante et contre culturelle, mais en ouvrant la scène à d’autres genres de musique underground (comme le rap, la dub) pour compléter la musique Trojan et le punk/la oi. L’AIM s’affaire à rendre la scène musicale et culturelle plus inclusive, plus saine pour toutes et tous et surtout plus ouverte pour capter d’autres populations qui pourrait être intéressées par ces dynamiques culturelles et militantes et qui ne voudraient pas forcément ou qui ne pourraient pas (pour des raisons propres) rentrer dans les schémas militants classiques à savoir intégrer une organisation politique et s’adonner à un militantisme parfois dur et rébarbatif. Dans plusieurs endroits à travers le monde (Italie, Québec, Allemagne, Colombie…) des groupes se constituent et œuvrent à la réalisation de festivals, de concerts, de conférences, de projections offrant toujours aux groupes révolutionnaires locaux, antifascistes, féministes radicales, milieux queer ou aux réfugié.es et leurs soutiens, une place dans les événements.

Pour le camp révolutionnaire, une organisation comme l’AIM peut et doit avoir un rôle politique capital dans plusieurs dynamiques : premièrement c’est cultiver l’internationalisme dans toutes ses composantes, si cher à nous révolutionnaires, que ce réseau puisse servir de ciment entre les différents groupes révolutionnaires et les initiatives contre culturelles de tous les pays du monde. Ce réseau est riche de rencontres, d’échanges et de connexions pour construire la solidarité antifasciste et révolutionnaire internationale. Deuxièmement, c’est l’occasion notamment dans la scène musicale (et donc devant un public large et hétérogène) de véhiculer l’antisexisme, combattre les agressions sexistes et sexuelles, les discriminations de genre et d’orientation sexuelle et mettre à l’honneur les luttes intersectionnelles dans nos événements. Enfin, c’est opposer un front contre-culturel à la culture mainstream, celle sur laquelle se base l’hégémonie bourgeoise pour maintenir les masses dans un flou idéologique et brouiller les repères. « La culture est un champ de bataille », dans la recherche de contre hégémonie, il est nécessaire au mouvement révolutionnaire de se doter d’un organe culturel structuré et militant pouvant être présent partout et au près de tous et toutes.

L’AIM à Lyon existe depuis plusieurs années mais elle a toujours été historiquement rattachée au Groupe Antifasciste Lyon et Environ, notamment avec l’organisation du Lyon Antifa Fest (qui peut se targuer après six éditions d’être le plus gros festival antifasciste de France) et d’autres concerts de soutien aux initiatives anticapitalistes, anti-répression et antifascistes. La section Caserio souhaite s’autonomiser de la GALE (sans pour autant l’abandonner), pour être plus efficace et concentrée sur les sujets culturels et soulager le groupe antifasciste de ces tâches car déjà très occupé sur beaucoup d’autres luttes. Nous souhaitons lui donner un corps et une ligne, pour être visible puis pour pouvoir intégrer pleinement le réseau international à l’échelle de notre ville et pouvoir échanger directement avec tous les autres endroits fédérés sous la bannière de l’AIM.

For the revolutionary camp, an organization like the AIM can and must have a key political role in several dynamics: first, it is to cultivate internationalism in all its components, so dear to us revolutionaries, that this network can serve as a cement between the different revolutionary groups and the counter-cultural initiatives of all the countries of the world. This network is rich of meetings, exchanges and connections to build international anti-fascist and revolutionary solidarity. Secondly, it is the opportunity especially in the music scene (and therefore in front of a wide and heterogeneous public) to convey anti-sexism, to fight against sexual and sexual aggression, discrimination of gender and sexual orientation and to put honor the intersectional struggles in our events. Finally, it is to oppose a counter-cultural front to mainstream culture, the one on which bourgeois hegemony is based to keep the masses in an ideological vagueness and blur the markers. “Culture is a field of battle”, in the search for counter-hegemony, it is necessary for the revolutionary movement to have a structured and militant cultural organ that can be present everywhere and close to all.

The AIM in Lyon has existed for several years but it has always been historically attached to the Antifascist Group Lyon and Environ, especially with the organization of Lyon Antifa Fest (which can boast after six editions to be the biggest antifascist festival in France ) and other concerts supporting anti-capitalist, anti-repression and anti-fascist initiatives. The Caserio section wishes to become autonomous from the GALE (without abandoning it), to be more efficient and focused on cultural subjects and to relieve the anti-fascist group of these tasks because they are already busy on many other struggles. We want to give it a body and a line, to be visible then to be able to fully integrate the international network at the scale of our city and to be able to exchange directly with all the other federated places under the banner of the AIM.
